Customized Employment 2 Day SeminarRegistration for this workshop is FREE as part of a sponsored presentation by Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties MH/ID Programs. Registration includes a 2-day workshop on May 22nd and May 23rd from 9am - 3pm each day and includes a catered lunch. Please note any dietary restrictions upon registration by emailing Registration@RiversidePD.com ................................This 2 day conference will introduce participants to the concept of customized employment and discuss how customized differs from competitive and supported employment. The strategy of Discovery will be introduced as an avenue to get to know an individual job seeker for the purpose of custom tailoring employment based on the individual’s unique strengths, interests, contributions and support needs. ...............................Who should attend: Individuals with disabilities, family members/parents, employment service providers, Vocational Rehabilitation staff, related services staff, teachers, paraprofessionals, students, and anyone interested in community employment for people with disabilities.

Successful Transitions for Independent LivingThis workshop will run from 1pm to 4pm and is designed for professionals to learn key components to transitioning young adults into independent living situations. Social skills and education goals will be the focused especially for high school students and young adults. Teachers, case managers, counselors, coaches and direct care staff are encouraged to attend. A shortened evening session will also be provided for family and friends from 5-7pm. All are welcome at no cost to the evening session, please share with your families today. Light dinner will be provided.
